What have we been up to?!

We probably need to recruit one of our young ones to help us stay up to date with all this social media stuff! Problem is, these kids are as busy as we are if not more! ANYWAY! If you have any questions in regards to lessons/bookings, our contact page here is a good place to start. I should note here that we DO NOT currently have any open spots for new students but, that will change in the next few months as we have a big high school class graduating in 2019.  We are currently working out of our home office and because of it, work mostly using a referral system. That means we are VERY careful with our information: address, etc. Although not a guaranteed spot, your chances of getting one will highly increase if you happen to get a recommendation from one of our current trusted families/clients. We hope you understand why we must work in this manner.

Our next show for our JAM U Students is at the Yuma Civic Center this Thursday, June 14th, at 7:00 P.M. FREE! Click on "Shows" for more info.

2017-2018

What a year we had! In the age of Facebook, I have quite forgotten to keep a log of our adventures with our students here. If you're interested, do visit our JAM University page. We post live performances of our students there from "La Casita" (home studio) as well as information on performances throughout our community. Like every year we've been in the business of private music lessons, it is our intention to continue to learn and grow with our students. That will never change! Even as I type, students are coming and going and soon our bands will assemble for a week of rehearsals before their next gig - Friday, January 5th at 7:00 P.M. at the iconic Lutes Casino

Looking back, 2017 was a year of many firsts. That is intentional on our part. We love to challenge ourselves with things we've never done before. We are grateful for students and their support systems, who are always willing to go along for the ride. Here's to 2018! We look forward to more adventures! More music! Happy New Year!

JAM U To Perform at Historic Yuma Theatre

JAM University bands under the direction of Jason & Elle to perform at Historic Yuma Theatre downtown on Thursday evening, June 15th, at 6:30 P.M. We love giving our students the opportunity to perform and do so throughout the year in the form of small showcases, community and private events, and most recently via Live Streaming shows. This one however, is a big one!

Concert will feature the vast majority of our JAM U students, ages ranging from 7-20 years old. It'll be a fun event, with bands made up entirely of young musicians on every instrument you'll see on stage - guitar, bass guitar, keys, drums, ukulele, voice. Our parents have helped us cover the fees to be able to offer the experience of performing on such a special venue in our community and with that, we welcome one and all to come enjoy the music! The set list will include a variety of tunes from past to current hits. If you have yet to make it out to one of our shows, don't miss this one! We hope you join us and invite your friends and family. For sure bring the kids!

To our parents, thank you! We quite frankly couldn't do it without you. We are beyond excited for you to see/hear what your kids have been working on. We are already proud of them and know you will be blown away by all their hard work. Can't wait!

Mardi Gras On Main

Last year we had a group of JAM U All Stars represent us at Mardi Gras On Main and it was a blast! We've continued to grow in talent since then and we just couldn't decide who to bring and so, we'll be bringing you two bands!

At 5:00 P.M. our Acoustic Guitar Ensemble will take the stage and perform acoustic versions of songs by Cold Play, Ed Sheeran, Paramore, and more. The band is comprised of girls ranging in ages 7-15 - Lila, Kylie, Mia, Alyssa and Alexandra.

Our Pop Band, although on a different stage (opposite end of Main), will go on next at 6:00 P.M. They will be performing tunes by John Mayer, Maroon5, The Chainsmokers, Raelee Nikole, and others. Members: Isabella on bass, Taylor on vocals/electric, Nina on vocals/acoustic and Leilani on vocals/keys.

Following their performances, Groove Jones (Jason & Elle, Rick and Dylan Arviso) will perform songs by Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Robin Thicke, John Mayer, Herbie Hancock, Bill Withers and more.  Local band, Bourbon Street Trio, will close the night with rock hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

There will be lots going on all evening long on Main Street. Music, dance, food! We hope to see you all out there! Come say hi! The weather promises to be fantastic for a night out.
